So Apple again showed some amazing results for the last quarter, posting a quarterly revenue of $35.0 billion and net profit of $8.8 billion. Again riding on stupendous sales of iPhone, iPad.

Today Apple release a PR stating that in less than 60 days, they were able to sell about 2 million iPads. And international shipping has just began. I am pretty sure we are in for some more sales records in coming months :) .

“Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

Apple Sells One Million iPads

Figures : 300,000 iPad’s Sold On First Day Of Sale

Official figures are out from Apple on the crazy iPad rush which occured on 3rd April, when iPad came to market. Apple sold over 300,000 iPad on the first day(till midnight). Also there were one million iPad apps downloaded from iTunes App store with over 250,000 ebooks from its iBookstore during the first day. These are some amazing figures and seems like Apple has repeated the iPhone history :) .

Apple Selling 25000 iPads In A Hour

If the various investor and financial firms are to be believed Apple is selling almost 25k iPad’s in a hours since they began taking the pre-orders. Silicon valley insider tracked 2 order numbers at a time span of 30 mins and the difference between them came out to be almost 10,000. Since, apple is releasing only 300,000 iPad units on April 3rd, we can safely assume that it will be totally sold out show.
