Again to support something mentioned in my last post :
Holiday sale actual figures should be out soon along with how much $$$$ Apple made with their iPad sales. From last couple of years they have seen some pretty huge numbers and profits along with it. Don’t see anything, stopping them this year as well. Understandable they got a decent competition from Android phones w.r.t iPhone but with iPad nothing even noticeable, iPad still is the king of tablets and will be there for a long long time. And now with iPad mini, its just got better. Personally I would like the Microsoft surface and any Android tablet to show some mantle against iPad, still waiting for it. With that being said, if you come across some figures and statements like below, don’t be surprised(via fortune):
“this one from Chitka, which measured ad impressions from various manufacturers’ tablets in the pre-Christmas week of Dec. 8-14. Their data are shown, as usual, on a scale of 100 iPad impressions. “Eighty-seven percent of the tablet web traffic in North America is generated by iPad,”
or
“For every 100 web pageviews on an iPad, a Kindle gets 5, a Galaxy gets 3, and a Surface gets 0.22″

By Foxconn Workers I mean the people who make majority of the world’s iProducts(iPad, iPhone and all). Earlier this Nytimes came out with a documentary showing how bad the conditions were for the people making those high-end Apple products, making world and Apple take notice of the situation. Apple took notice of the situation and things seems to be improving right now, good for the hard working people at Foxconn and win for everyone.
Its a win win situation for all iOS users that even after Google specific apps being pulled off from default installation of iOS (maps n stuff), Google is still pretty OK with the whole scenario. After Apple maps (disaster?) and then the savior in form of Google Maps, we should be very very happy that Google got a dedicated team out there working on iOS apps for users. Ofcourse they must have some agenda behind it(some say its the user profiling and more and more data collection about their search habits and what not, but what do we know). All we know that currently Google makes some pretty darn impressive and useful apps, without which its hard to go by.
