Rumour mills working over time to give you some iPad mini news if you are waiting for one that is. Guys over at iresq got hold of some iPad mini parts which shows some internals of upcoming iPad.
In the first picture below, you’ll see two 8-pin dock connector and headphone jack assemblies for the Mini iPad on the left. On the right, you’ll see two 8-pin dock connector and headphone jack assemblies for the iPhone 5 (or “New iPhone”). The interesting thing here is these assemblies come in either black or white, suggesting a change in design for the devices. Another thing of note is the fact that the iPad Mini’s headphone jack is pretty close to the dock.

So one of those rumors, yes the leaked case ones. Someone came across which supposedly a iPad mini case, might be complete hoax as it seems to be missing the camera hole
Some more pics over here.
Nothing we haven’t heard before but didn’t knew specs for iPad Mini screen, so it might be 7.85. Which actually doesn’t sound that small or Mini, but can base nothing based on rumours.
“We expect panel production to start in August, with production ramping up to high volumes (more than a million units per month) in the fourth quarter,” said Paul Semenza, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, in response to an e-mail query.
Semenza said this is DisplaySearch’s “understanding of the activity for the 7.85 [inch] panel expected to be used in the iPad Mini.”
This news shouldn’t come as surprise but again, Apple iPad is still the go to tablet around the world. As the data shown in the above data from IDC, the iPad competition is still very much behind their iOS counter-part. Android tablets aren’t gaining much on the much popular Apple tablet. May be the Windows 8 Tablet show some very much needed competition to iPad.
Windows 8 tablets are coming soon to market and stand to offer some good competition to the market leader, the iPad. Now, considering iPad is now almost 3 years old and Windows 8 tablets are just fresh out of the stock, I do think these will take some time to get the tablet experience right for its users. Android based tablets are trying and not gaining much on that front, I must say. Point being, even if you get the hardware right, there is always dearth of good+quality apps for tablets on other platform, without which it becomes almost impossible to compete with iPad.
Now Lenovo will be coming out with their Windows 8 tablet soon which be sporting a dual core Intel Clover Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a 10.1-inch WXGA display(decent specs for a tablet). Now the main news, in some leaked memo, Lenovo is seen to be pitching the tablet to enterprise users and comparing the features offered to iPad. As seen in the below shared image, iPad crosses on everything
. On this point, business users are embracing iPad and I am not sure whether Lenovo can base out success of their Tablet on just this.
We’ll how this fight fares out, for time being do check out a video comparing the Windows 8 tablet with iPad 2.
